Lucy and Todd

  1. I enjoyed reading about your editing services. As a former member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (in Denver), I have some empathy for your position concerning “writers’ groups.” RMFW was helpful to me, but I knew when it was time to exit. I often think of the editing that F. S. Fitzgerald got for The Great Gatsby; it models how much a great editor can achieve in the creation of a fine novel. I edited my own three novels (self-published on, and I’m satisfied with them. Nonetheless I’d had a sympathetic editor. I hired an editor for my first (and biggest) novel, MATT CONNELL, and she nearly wrecked it. So, it’s wonderful to learn about two people with your expressed attitudes and experience. Thank you for advertising in NYRB. It’s good to know you are there.
